ASPECTS OF WORSHIP IN THE WORLD by Michalis Vassilopoulos

In the foyer of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre (for the period from 30 October to 24 November 2019) an exhibition of architectural models by Michalis Vassilopoulos entitled Views of the Cult of the World has been set up. The exhibition includes architectural models, faithful scale replicas of religious worship buildings from antiquity to the present day.  The exhibition will include the Agia Fotini in Tripoli, the Russian Monastery of St. Panteleimon, the mosque in Monastiraki, the Koursum mosque in Trikala, the temple of the ancient god Hephaestus, the Theseion and other places of worship of other religions. These places will surround the one and only Agia Sophia of Constantinople, which for the first time comes out of the artist's studio and is presented to the public.
