ENAN KLONIN VASILITZIAN

The Cypriot musical “Enan Klonin Vasilitzian” will be presented on January 24, 2026, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre (19:30).

The Cypriot musical “Enan Klonin Vasilitzian” is based entirely on “Kypriotika tou Violari”, the double album released in 1970 by the acclaimed Cypriot artist Michalis Violaris, featuring compositions and lyrics by distinguished creators. The songs are mainly performed by the well-known singer Demetris Mesimeris.

A lovestruck young man, after a romantic disappointment, resorts to the village witch to help him conquer the woman he loves. In his attempt to succeed, he unintentionally becomes the cause of a series of hilarious love entanglements that disrupt the peace of the village. Can a basil plant turn the lives of the residents of a neighborhood upside down? Can a basil plant stem lead a person to love, jealousy, intrigue, and conspiracy? And yet it can!
