
Nicolina Stylianou is a Production Officer of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre/ Nicosia International Festival.
She is a cultural producer, artist, and researcher based in Cyprus and Finland working in the intersection between performance, sound, and sculpture. Her practice deals her post-conflict embodied identity using it as a lens to untangle the noise found within the performativity of the world. She presented her work at Myymälä2 Art Gallery (Helsinki), Goethe Institut Zypern (Nicosia), Defibrillator Art Gallery (Chicago), Museum of Impossible Forms, Kontula Electronic, Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma (Helsinki), and Cell63 Gallery (Berlin). Her work is published in Wire Magazine (issue 454-December 2021), and Rondo Classic Magazine Finland (Issue 8-2021).
Nicolina holds Master’s degree of Arts in Live Art and Performance Studies from the University of the Arts Helsinki, and BA (hons) in Art & Design from Kingston University London. She is an alumni fellow of Koneen Säätiö, and alumni artist resident of Art OMI Center (New York).
She is also the founder of Sensorium Space, Noise Traffic, and Conjoined Fugues. She is a board member of MadHouse Helsinki, and member of Muu ry and Visual Artists and Art Theorists Association – phytorio (www.nicolinastylianou.com).
